Education is the basis of our lives. We learn how to do everything in this world, and our careers are no different. At Kiyo Academy, we take our craft seriously and continually strive to have the best skills in the industry. We have integrated education into our business model from day one; after all, education is the catalyst of growth. This specially developed program helps to build strong foundations for confidence behind the chair; from basic round and flat brush blowdries, to root applications and highlights, right up to advanced balayage.
Academy Models Required
Get the look for less when you book an appointment with the Kiyo Academy! Our qualified hairdressers continually require a variety of models for haircuts & styling, contemporary colour and specialized services for our training sessions. Keep in mind, our discounted model bookings can typically be expected from August-October and January-March each year, as we coordinate our education programs to align when new talent stylists graduate from local programs.

Bookings are essential and dependent on availability. Please be aware that model appointments may take between 1.5-2 hours (cut only) and 2-5 hours (colour) depending on the particular service. We encourage our students to take their time, ensuring an end result that is to the satisfaction of student, the educator, and you, our model. Please be mindful of this during your appointment and supportive of these students in their learning.
When booking with KIYO Academy you may be required to choose a haircut or colour technique from the below collections, please look at the haircuts and what you feel would suit you best and quote the name when booking.
KIYO Academy reserves the right to cancel an appointment at any given time due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. sickness or course cancellation. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Models can only book the following colour services:
CLASSIC FOILS Minimum/Half head/Full head foils. Hair can be layered or one length.
Colour Correction
Models will need to come into the salon to book this appointment. This is a complete change of colour going from a dark colour to light or a light colour to a minimum of 3 shades darker. Hair can be layered or one length.
Creative Foils
Using different creative techniques with foils. Hair needs to have layering & texture.
Scalp Bleach
This is a full colour all over bleaching hair to a light vibrant blonde. Hair can be layered or one length.
PLEASE NOTE: All Colour services will be quoted prior to start of service.
How Long Will My Appointment Take?
You should allow approximately 2 hours for your cut or 3 hours for your colour, 4 hours plus for a cut and colour appointment.

The House of Kiyo Training Team has over 50 years combined experience in the beauty industry with accolades and training from L’Oreal Professionnel, Bumble & Bumble, Kerastase, KMS, Toni & Guy, Suki’s Academy, Inspiring Champions and Easihair Pro, just to scratch the surface.
