Alicia Hamagishi

Guest Artist August-December

At the House of Kiyo, we pride ourselves on providing a platform of growth through education where our team can develop creatively and professionally. It is with special excitement we are pleased to welcome back Alicia Hamagishi into a Guest Artist position this summer.

Alicia started her career at Kiyo Salon & Day Spa, Nanaimo, in 2004 where she took part in the beginnings of our education program to refine her skills. In 2006 she took on a role with L’oreal Professionel as an educator while continuing to work behind the chair and said goodbye the island in 2007 to further her path of education and growth. Continuing with L’oreal Professionnel in Vancouver, while simultaneously earning her Provincial Instructor’s Diploma, she made her way to the title of Professional Development Manager for British Columbia. Alicia will be digitally refining the Kiyo Academy training program and assisting us in elevating the training we provide to our stylists by adding additional theory and professional development classes. These newly developed classes will be available internally as well as to local stylists this fall. Alicia will be joining Kiyo Salon & Boutique, Parksville, as a Level 6 Stylist on Wednesdays and Fridays until December, as well as assisting with Kiyo Academy development.

One of our favourite things at House of Kiyo is recognizing talent and developing its growth; we LOVE when that talent eventually circles back to join us. Welcome back Alicia; we are so excited to have you as part of our team again and we cannot wait to collaborate with you.

Where individuality is style, House of Kiyo.
