Why Kiyo?

I believe that our careers choose us as much as we choose our careers. In life one of the greatest gifts is learning, it is what keeps us inspired and young in our mind and heart. The goal was to create a fun and safe platform for personal and professional development and to push us outside our comfort zone because that is where the magic happens.

The best thing about being Kiyomi is:

I am driven, I am compassionately strong, I am honest and I never give up. I am able to see a clear vision, believe in the steps to get there and then go out and achieve it with the most awesome team out there. It is an amazing feeling knowing that Kiyo has created so many opportunities for individuals to be who they are and seek out their innermost talents and let them shine. To witness the “ah-hah” moments when I am teaching and to know I was a part of their journey to greatness. I am me I always will be and I love it!

What are your major accomplishments in life and business?

Emiko, my precious daughter is the BIGGEST accomplishment of my life!!  And second, comes creating Kiyo and allowing it to grow and develop, mould and shape into what it is today; a hub for awesome people to do awesome things for awesome people. In life, learning to step back and allowing myself to be happy and proud of my accomplishments for just a quick moment before I move on to the next project, oh and last but not least letting myself fall in love;)

What are your favourite activities/hobbies outside of work?

Riding my bike. moving my body and definitely eating out!

What would be impossible for you to give up?
My baby girl Emiko, chocolate and popcorn.

Favourite Quote or Saying:

“I’ve got this”

“A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” – Albert Einstein

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson

“When one door closes, another door opens.” – Alexander Graham Bell
