Why Kiyo?

After graduating from VIU I was excited to hear that KIYO was hiring because its an education based salon.  The stylists do an amazing job here and I want to work up to the same level of skill.

Why did you choose this industry?

It’s a fun career path because the industry is always changing so you’re always growing as a stylist.

Favourite Go-to product:

Pret-a-powder, because it gives me volume all day and extends my style so I don’t have to worry.

What are your major accomplishments in life and business?

I graduated high school a year early to pursue my passion and was selected to be in the Head Start Program.  I am very proud that I won 1st place in the 2016 Vancouver Island Central Regional Skills Competition for hairdressing while at VIU.

Training/Classes:

Colour Keys, Colour Change, Balayage, Kiyo Academy Education and VIU Hairdressing

What are your favourite activities/hobbies outside of hair?

After losing 75lbs I am now getting into outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.  I also enjoy making mosaic glass artwork in my studio along with nature photography.
